What is behind FlexBins?

Traditionally, AutoStore systems used uniform bins. With FlexBins, bin heights of 220 mm, 330 mm, and 425 mm can now be freely combined. This means that whether it’s large, bulky items or numerous small SKUs, everything now fits perfectly within the grid, and dead space (“air stockage”) in the warehouse is drastically reduced. As a result, fulfillment becomes not only more resilient to demand fluctuations, but also future-proof for a growing product range. Companies can now manage a broader assortment within the same grid, which is a major advantage for fast-growing industries such as food retail, logistics, and e-commerce.
