What’s been the most impressive thing you’ve experienced at status C so far?

You can tell that everyone cares deeply about the well-being of their colleagues and the company. No one comes here for a 9-to-5 job, saying, “I’ll just come in once a month to get my paycheck and then go home.” Everyone is eager to tackle challenges. It’s not uncommon to see five coworkers gathered around a monitor because they’re in the mood to tackle the problem with all their combined energy.

What can you do here that you couldn’t do at another company?

I appreciate the trust that’s been placed in me from the very beginning. My colleagues know what I’m capable of and rely on my skills and advice. I can manage my projects and set my own deadlines however I see fit. Micromanagement? Not a chance. What counts is the result.

What’s been your biggest athletic highlight so far?

Riding over 200 km on a single-speed bike from Koblenz to Trier in two days. And I probably won’t forget my first 180 in darts anytime soon, either.

What does your perfect day look like?

Dolce far niente! Sleeping in, drinking a cappuccino, spending the day outdoors, and in the afternoon, sipping either an aperitif or wine (or both) in the sun while feasting on various antipasti platters, pasta dishes, and desserts.
